How does the Qudo™ Soother help?

Modified on Sun, 20 Nov, 2022 at 3:11 PM

The Qudo Soother helps through applying gentle pressure on a baby’s upper palate. As baby uses the soother, it:

  • helps relax tensions and settles the nervous system. It is much more satisfying than a traditional dummy and stays in place. Sucking helps ease the pressure or strain patterns formed within the bone and soft tissue structures.

  • stimulates more active movement within a baby’s mouth, freeing up their tongue muscles and helping strengthen and coordinate a stronger, more effective suck and swallow response.

  • Stimulates the sucking reflex which helps activate the production of oxytocin - a naturally produced source of pain relief and reduces fight/flight hormones - resulting in a more relaxed infant.

  • Stimulates the cranial rhythmic impulse (a naturally occurring pulse that describes the involuntary movement of all fluids, bones, tissues and organs in the body). Often due to how a baby might have been lying in the womb or the birth process itself, some of this natural healthy movement is restricted - it has been noted by practitioners that the Qudo Soother helps support the rebalancing, stimulation and equilibrium of this pulse within babies.
